Orange Chicken



Another Pinterest recipe. Super easy, super tasty, (somewhat) super good for you.

Here's what you'll need:




1 cup orange juice
1 tbs balsamic vinegar
4 tbs brown sugar
3 tbs ketchup
1/3 cup flour



Cut up the chicken into little pieces and coat with flour.



Mix the orange juice, brown sugar, ketchup, salt, olive oil and balsamic vinegar. 




 Brown the chicken slightly in an oiled pan. It doesn't have to be fully cooked, but it probably will be by the time it's browned on both sides. 



Put the chicken in the slow cooker, add the juice mix and set on high for 2 - 3 hours.


A little basmati rice and you're good to go! And I have to say that the longer you let this bad-boy cook, the more of a "fried" taste you'll get. The simmering juices really pack on after a while.

OH, and a little something I learned: 1 cup of frozen concentrated juice is NOT the same as 1 cup of thawed juice. Use the thawed or it'll be a tangy disaster. You've been warned.
