Last week, the very cute Kim over at Living on a Latte and a Prayer bestowed upon me the Liebster Award, which is a kick-ass award for bloggers with under 200 followers.

YAY!! I love awards!!
Anyhoo, the deal is that I'm supposed to list 11 facts about myself and then answer 11 questions from the awarder. Now, I've done a few random fact posts and frankly, I don't think I'm interesting enough to do another. They can be found here, here and here.
Onto Kim's questions!
1. Do you have any
pets? If so, tell me about them. If not, what would your ideal pet be?
Do I have pets? HECK YES I have pets! Two of the cutest
perma-puppies you’ve ever seen. Pickle is a Yorkie, although he’s more of a
Porkie of late, and Pepi is a Japanese Chin. Put them together and they’re
almost a cat.
Pickle's on the left, staring at his most prized possession (his green ball) while Pepi's gnawing on a hilariously disproportionate monkey.
2. What's your
favorite holiday and why?
Totally Christmas. Partly because I love Santa but
also because my birthday’s on the 23rd, which basically means that
it’s a three-day party! Also, I really like wrapping presents. Seriously. I
love it. When I worked in retail, it was my favourite part of my job. And let
me tell you, the other staff were MORE than happy to just let me sit at a table
and do it all. Truth be told, I really miss having access to all of the
ribbon. The good stuff—ribbon made from cloth. *sighs wistfully*
3. If you could meet
one famous person (living or dead) who would it be and what would be the first
thing you asked them?
Channing Tatum
And I’d ask him to take off his shirt.
Haha, I kid, I kid.
It’d really be Ryan Gosling.
And I’d ask him to take off his shirt.
4. Is there one food
that you refuse to eat/absolutely hate?
Since my birthday last year, I haven’t eaten fast
food with the exception of one burger from Wendy’s because we were driving to
Quebec and it was the only option available. It was a conscious decision
because I was eating WAY TOO MANY cheeseburgers and I’m proud of myself for
taking a stand for my health. Not that I haven’t eaten any cheeseburgers, mind
you, but they’ve been cooked on our BBQ, so that’s okay.
And in terms of food that I absolutely hate? That’d be
a two-way tie between onions and mushrooms. Bleck.
5. Mac or PC?
Mac, Mac, a thousand times….Mac.
6. Favorite guilty
pleasure song?
Hmm…I don’t really have one of these. I’ll pretty much
sing my face off to anything. OH WAIT! I really like the Veggie Tales’ version
of Feliz Navidad, even though it’s slightly psychotic with the high-pitched
voices. And speaking of high-pitched voices, I also like Chipmunk Christmas
songs.
7. What
accomplishment/achievement of yours are you most proud of?
Since getting sick, I’ve written four full-length
novels and once, I ran for a really long time (pre-sickness, obviously).
8. Do you read your
horoscope? Do you think the description of your sign fits you?
I’m on the cusp of Sagittarius and Capricorn and it makes sense most of the time. I’m not a huge believer BUT I do know that I
dated many an Aries before The Remix and NONE of those relationships worked
out (obviously. You know, cause I’m married to The Remix).
9. Have you ever
gotten into trouble (little or big) with the law?
Nope! I lived by my Mother’s wise words on that one:
If you’re going to do
something dumb, be smart enough to not get caught.
Yup, she’s pretty much a genius.
10. What's the one
book you would recommend that everyone read?
My all-time favourite women’s fiction is Rachel’s Holiday by Marian Keyes and
more recently, Gillian Flynn’s Gone Girl.
Hot damn, that was a good read! I even reviewed it, so click here if you’re
interested.
11. I'm stealing this
one from Jessica because I liked it...what's your favorite quote?
Well-behaved women seldom make history. -- Laurel Thatcher Ulrich
You have enemies? Good. That means that you've stood up for something, sometime in your life. – Winston Churchill
Love your answers! I lol'ed during class about your guilty pleasure songs - I LOVE those too! (And seriously...I snorted a bit and people looked at me...oops...) And I'm (slowly) reading Gone Girl right now...I can't wait until this semester is done and I get more time to read fun books again. Thanks for playing along!
ReplyDeleteWoot Woot! I am so excited and think I will have it up for Sunday!!!
