Throw On Your Aprons, Peeps! It's Baking Time!

Okay, so earlier this week I revealed that I was fortunate enough to be chosen for the Baker's Dozen Competition over at Miss Snark's First Victim. Well, my level of enthusiasm hasn't waned much and now...NOW it's actually starting!

Ermegerd, ermegerd, ermegerd.

In the earlier post, I said that I would post the link so you can check out my entry, if you feel so inclined.

But before I do, I need to lay out some ground rules. No, they're not MY ground rules, they're the ground rules that The Authoress smacked down and the last thing I want to do is piss off the wonderful Authoress. After all, she was one of the ones who picked my entry!

Ready for the rules?

(well, even if you aren't here they are)

Rule 1: The comment sections on the Baker's Dozen website are for CRITIQUES ONLY. That means you can't write ANYTHING on my entry unless it's a critique. While I LOVE supportive comments, like "Hey, this is amazing!" or "You're the best writer ever!" Those aren't critiques and you're not allowed to do that. Seriously. The Authoress is adamant about that.
A-DA-MANT.

(Because the point of the contest, aside from getting an agent's attention, is to give us newbie authors an opportunity to improve on our craft.)

Rule 2: PLEASE ABIDE BY RULE NUMBER ONE.

Rule 3: If you'd like to offer me a critique, then please click here to read The Authoress' guidelines on what's appropriate. And don't worry about hurting my feelings. A constructive bit of criticism only makes my work stronger! Please keep in mind that the entries are ANONYMOUS, so please don't include my name in whatever critique you share on the Baker's Dozen site. Also, please feel free to peruse the other entries as well. There are 25 adult and 35 YA/MG entries and they're looking for constructive criticism just as much as I am.

So if you think that you can follow the rules, then please click here to read my entry!

And, if after reading my fabulous entry, you just NEED to tell me how talented (and pretty...and funny) I am, please come back here and leave a comment. Haha!! The Baker's Dozen site doesn't want your kind words of encouragement but I SURE DO!

But please, please, please remember Rule 1. I don't want to get in trouble. And you don't want to get me in trouble, right? RIGHT?

Okay, so I guess now it's time to start biting my nails off as my work is displayed for all of the internet to read. I kid, I kid...I love my nails too much to do that.

Now where did I put that paper bag?
