Summer's coming, guys. SUMMER IS COMING! So, in honour of warm weather and sunny skies, I did a beach-themed mani this week. Ermegerd, I can't wait until I can put my toes in some sand!
What I used:
Step 1: Two coats of Abbie.
Step 2: Put a blob of Abbie and a blob of 15 Minutes of Frame next to each other. Using the thinner end of a makeup sponge, pick up the polish and dab onto the bottom third of your nail. Let dry.
Step 3: With the same technique, use 15 Minutes of Frame and Creative Fantasy for the top third of your nail. Repeat until you're satisfied with the colour, but remember to let it dry. (If you'd like to speed up the process, use a coat of Seche Vite. That's what I did, haha!)
Step 4: With the Black Stripe Rite (and the brush it comes with) make a small semi-circle in the bottom right of your nail. Sweep one line into the centre of your nail and then flare lines out for the palm tree branches.
Step 5: Add a few dots of Gold Stripe Rite for stars. Then, do one final coat of Seche Vite, clean up your skin, and you're good to go!
I love that I've gotten a hang of the gradient process, and now that's all I want to do. Haha! The blending can be tricky at times, but I've found that even if you mess up, if you let your nail dry and then go over it again, it can usually be fixed without having to start over. So, if your first attempt doesn't work, don't despair! Just throw some more polish on there, guys and gals! HA!
Have an awesome weekend everyone!
